Login with mac
I have problems with trying to log into packet tracer on my MacBook 2012. When I click log in nothing shows up. I’ve already used my 3 guest saved so I desperately need to get in.

Make User Login to PT 7 (and 6.3) working!!!
By clicking User Login NOTHING happens (I guess thousands of Instructors have the same problem...), while by clicking Guest Login,
the default browser (Chrome 51.0.2704.106 m) starts on the URL: https://www.netacad.com/ptguestlogin/ that then becomes: https://www.netacad.com/campaign/ptdt-2,
and then the 15" count-down of Guest starts, allowing the user to enter PT, upon a Guest confirmation. My PC is a Win 10 Home, with Java 1.8.0_65 and last Flash Win 22.0.0.192.

SDM Prefer Command - Layer 2 Switches
Hi,
Is there any reason why the SDM Prefer command is not available in the L2 switches used in Packet Tracer?

Thank you for the question. Packet Tracer has it’s own place to submit these types of questions. When you are logged into Packet Tracer, please click on the “Help” menu.

Get PT more user fiendly
Me and my students very often use PT7, and propose the following:
Eliminate the User Profile window on startup (see attach); it shows
wrong information (Guest, while I'm logged in with my Netacad profile)
and its only purpose seems... to be closedSpeed up the opening of the .pkt or .pka files: the initial logo mask is
there for at least 20-30" even in very recent and powerful PCs, with SSD...When opening .pka files, please put the instructions window in foreground.
It's not user friendly to always hide it under the main Working area window.

Thank you for your suggestions. We talked to the Packet Tracer team and they have provided the following:
1. User Profile window only shows up when you load an activity that requires it. The purpose is for the student to enter a name and email (Not their netacad login) that will let the instructor identify who worked on the activity. If the student changes this profile, it will reset the activity, thereby preventing cheating. Otherwise students will be able to share completed activities with one another. Although we ask the user to login to their netacad account, we do not use this information as a means to populate the file because some classrooms may use one installation with a single login.2. The slow load times of PKT and PKAs require the user to send us their file. In general, 7.1 will load faster than 7.0. However, in our own…

A problem with packet tracer
Hi all,
I am having trouble with Packet tracer, the simulation that encompass a solar PV, a meter, a battery and 5 bulbs. I have set up the network as required, but when I click to use the IoT cable, it had two small circles at the beginning and end, and none of the bulbs light (become green). I an not sure of the two problems are related. Please assist.1 voteReferred to Helpdesk ·AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) responded

Issue: Packet Tracer 7 not connecting anonymously
I have some freshmen trying to use PT for an exploratory class. Most of them can launch PT 7.0 but a couple of the PC's are requesting a Netacad login. Any thoughts on how I can fix this?
1 voteReferred to Helpdesk ·AdminSandra Ray (Customer Support Director, or Executive, Cisco Networking Academy) responded
Packet Tracer 7.0 requires students to login. If a student does not log out Packet Tracer will normally remember the login and the student will not have to authenticate again. I believe this is what is happening in your course. If you find this is not the case, please open a support ticket.

Scaling Networks PT activity 9.5.2.6
This lab was not created correctly. I haven't checked 5.03 version, but in version 5 the router-id was not added under the eigrp process, therefore the lab would "check" OK, but the testing did not work. The eigrp router-id needs to be added on all three routers

RSE Module 8 - Skills Integration Challenge - Better instructions

It is better to have an exact instructions about PCs's IP configuration because students must guessing the answer (for IPv4 - are the last usable addresses; for IPv6 - second ones).1 voteZornitsa, curriculum related errors can be reviewed in the Errata sheet, by clicking on ‘Help’ to see if they have already been reported. RSE - Module 9 PT mistake
There is a mistake in RSE - Chapter 9: Access Control Lists 9.3.2.11 Packet Tracer.
1. The default gateways of the all switches SWA, SWB and SW3 are wrong. The mistake is only at the first octet - should be 10 instead of 64.
2. Also in the instructions (Addressing Table) is missing information about SWA and SWB, only for SWC.1 voteZornitsa, curriculum related errors can be reviewed in the Errata sheet, by clicking on ‘Help’ to see if they have already been reported.
