when registering students, i dont enter or typr names! the student must in their own sent me mail with their user names and email. this is to exempt myself from errors in typing their names. use of mail is to ensure the mail is already working. The certs come out with the names as created at the time of account creation. if they do small or caps, i peg it on the individual! but at end of course, before course feedback, my condition is : everyone log into your profile, make any errors correct esp names. in my opinion, everybody knows how their names look like in characters, this is solely the students mistake ! what if you had a student who writes a language you don know ? how would another person correct that? and any corrections can only be made form their own profiles, not even an instructor! better to share best practise than vote on this.
