choice of 24 hour time format
I hope that you reintroduce the 24Hour clock again as a very large part of the world do not use AM/PM format at all.
We know this is very important to many of you. Unfortunately, we cannot make it happen throughout the system at this time, as our LMS does not support a 24 hour time format. We will, however, keep your feedback in mind as we look for a future solution.
Thank you!

Hi Kimberly,
I couldn't get this to work. I select English (there's only 1 choice - I cannot pick US English or UK English) in my profile and it still shows the time as AM/PM on Forum posts. And I don't see where the time is shown on the NetSpace Home page so whether that displays time in 24hr or AM/PM format seems moot.
However, I can live with AM/PM for time, but it's the date format that is the real bugbear. It beggars belief that Cisco as a global company did not insist on users being able to select , at least DD/MM/YYYY, if not ISO 8601 date format. Instructure should really be taken to task on this almost arrogant oversight.

It's been a year since this issue was raised without any progress - surely Instructure sees its Canvas product as serving an international market - time zone and time format are fundamental user preferences in any system. Please attend to this!

Fully agree on the different locale setting should be available in NetSpace. The user should be able to select the locale upon the account registration.
I would definitely add the option to choose Monday as the first day of week to the locale settings.

I also support this idea as the 24-hour format is much simpler to use and avoids the am/pm confusion and mistakes that frequently occur, especially around midday & midnight. Regarding date formats, I would prefer the ISO 8601 date format (YYYY-MM-DD) as it delivers chronological ordering. Also, it's a nice compromise between the little-endian sequence (DD/MM/YYYY) that is most commonly used world-wide, and the US format (MM/DD/YYYY).

Fully agree. It seems me very strange not to have possibility to use 24-hour clock in case of formal and international system.

Agreed. For europian countries is MM/DD/YY format confusing. There was the option to switch it in academy connection. Please bring this back to Netspace.

Yes please - a 24 hour clock option and consistent date format - most of the world uses dd/mm/yyyy, but on different pages I see also sometimes see mm/dd/yyy - aargh!!
Things like this should be fundamental instructor/course customisation choices.

Completely agree. Use of the 24 hour clock prevents AM/PM selection mistakes. Our Institution uses the 24 hour clock for ALL student/class/event/scheduling and is the default for email time.

Fully support the need for an option to have date format DD/MM/YYYY. Also the time format should have option to use the 24 hour clock
