Get rid of previous attempts for all exams when enrolled in new course
When a student joins my class I have no idea if they've previously taken the course or not, how far they went, etc. We get to the exams and they can't take them because this site tracks their previous attempts. Can this just go away? I hate activating exams for most students, then having to go back and do special activations for the other students. I want them all to have 1 attempt, so if they already used one in a course (even YEARS ago!), I have to deactivate and activate one for 2 attempts for them. This is a ridiculous waste of time.

Thank you for the suggestion. We understand the difficulties in having attempts carried over from course to course. At this time we are not able to implement this idea. We will keep this in mind in the future.

Student attempts at individual assessments carry over when they are enrolled into a new course of the same type.
For example if a student attempts a CCNA1 course but fails, they need to re-enrol into a new CCNA1 course. However they have now exhausted their attempts at the Final Module Test and possibly other assessments. The only mechanism to correct this is via a support ticket which is slow now that the support desk is no longer available 24/7 for an instant fix.
The number of attempts at an assessment item should be based on the attempts WITHIN a class, not WITHIN NetAcad.
Alternatively, instructors, need to be able to reset the attempt count to allow repeating - previously failed - students to re-attempt the assessments
