  5. Activate assessments immediately not after 24 hours

    It doesn't make sense that an assessment takes 24 hours to become activated after an instructor requests activation

  7. Place a "how to" to help people use Virtual Desktop from IT Essentials..

    Echo's post in the community providing instructions for making Virtual Desktop work should be listed as a README in the .zip file.....

    Here's the steps:

    Cause: A permission model change in Adobe Flash Player since v. 23. Beginning with Flash Player 23, local-with-network permissions will now be applied to all local SWF content, regardless of the preference chosen at compile time.

    Solution:

    After you open the Index.html file in IE and then click “Skip” in the top right corner, Right-Click anywhere within the simulation tool.

    Thank you for the suggestion. Virtual Desktop is no longer supported and enhancements related to Virtual Desktop will not be reviewed. The FAQ for IT Essentials 6.0 states the following:

    Will the Virtual Desktop and Virtual Laptop simulations tools be available in IT Essentials 6.0?
    A. The Virtual Laptop and Virtual Desktop were standalone tools designed to supplement classroom learning and provide an interactive “hands-on” experience in learning environments with limited physical equipment. Both tools will be available as supplemental material but keep in mind that support for them has been discontinued.

  11. Should I go for CCNA SEC with no networking work experience?

    Hello Friends,

    I have a CCNA R&S and 8 months at a help desk type role with no access to the routers and switches. I have physical access to check for cabling issues or whatever but if I suspect a port is down or need a vlan changed I have to call someone to do it. I think my lacking experience and lacking a degree is holding me back from finding a more networky gig. I know this question has come up in regards to CCNP and the general consensus I've seen is not to do it till you have…

    Thank you for your interest in how to move forward with your career. This forum is used for the Cisco Networking Academy program for Instructors to submit ideas for improvement. As for the best direction for you to take I am not the best one to give a recommendation for your career; however, I can tell you both CCNA Security and CCNP courses are available through the Cisco Networking Academy Program.

    Thank you for the information. Cisco is currently looking at resources to connect employers to students. Currently they are using Talent Bridge in the United States. They are hoping to expand this to more areas in the future. Please note: The system will never Automatically allow employers to see student information without them signing up due to privacy reasons.

  14. allow Instructors to set and share a pool of written exams at checkpoint ? Especially for ITE and ICS and CSE know cybersecurity?

    This will break the cycle of multiple Choice that they take easily... If they got the training it shows in the responses given... And brings out any sections not understood well. It means instructors also to share 4th either oops if the same... Just for checkpoint evaluation.

  18. More clear automatic notifications from NetAcad

    Many activities done within a course generate a notification sent automatically from netacadnotifications@instructure.com.

    Those notifications contains the course name but do not contain any reference to course ID and Academy name.

    For those instructors / staff personnels who are serving many academies this is a mess...

    Please add course ID and Academy name in any automatic notification/email sent by NeAcad.

  19. As a academy instructor/manager i want to see all classes/courses particula student was enrolled

    Periodically we need to review performance of the particular student at our academy, particularly which classes/courses he was enrolled, what's his grade, etc. Right now there is no such feature. Thus, as a netacade manager i want to have per-student analytics, such as:
    - which classes/cources particual student was enrolled
    - what's his summary grade in a particular class (pass/fail, % of the completion)

    You are already making great efforts in translating the CCNA RS and other modules into other languages but if possible to what extent translate the CCNA in French for example and in other languages as well.
